Info: Just like Sidi does it on the beaches on the Banc d’Arguin, Ocean Initiatives are awareness actions on marine pollution through beach, lake, river and submarine clean-ups. They have been organized throughout the world for 17 years:
In 2011, 42,000 volunteers in 35 countries helped clean up more than 1200 beaches, lakes and rivers. They collected the equivalent of 38 busloads filled with aquatic waste!
For 4 days, hundreds of Ocean Initiatives will be organized simultaneously, with the participation of sports clubs, schools, locals and tourists… a great way to celebrate the first week-end of spring!
